3 ways to spiritually ground yourself?

What does it mean to ground yourself spiritually?

To connect to who you are. Connecting and aligning your body, mind, and soul is crucial to ground yourself.

“To thine own self be true.”

William Shakespeare

Just like you can’t bake a cake without the oven, ingredient, or recipe, all three are needed to bake a cake. All three lead to being spiritually grounded, leaving you in bliss, peace, and full serenity.

How do you ground yourself spiritually?

There are married ways to do this.

Not one way is better than the other, as society tends to put a hierarchical structure. And not everyone grounds themselves in the same practices.

But the one foundation to center yourself on is bringing yourself into the present moment.

Just think of Dr. Sesss’ Cat in the House movie when it was all a disaster at one point; the kids were kids. Be a kid. Allow it to embrace you. So, when it comes to bringing yourself together – it will be with ease.

Moment after moment, tear after tear, flow after flow.

And that is through being aware of the rhythm and the music you create through your own breathing.

Bring yourself into the now and here. Not out in the future nor back in the past. Presence.

“Be at least as interested in what goes on inside you as what happens outside. If you get the inside right, the outside will fall into place.”

The Power of NOW by Eckhart Tolle

As the saying goes – As above, so below. As within so without. Let the sounds be in harmony: body, mind, soul. Is the sound off-beat? Or is it singing with grace and love?

What are some examples of the things you can do?

Mental.

Doing something that will put your rational mind at ease, keep your thoughts from running around, and put you (your soul), not the mind, in control. And knowing when to put a stop to them at any given moment.

  • Breathe. To bring your internal self to balance. Let the sound play in harmony, not static noise you can’t bear to hear.
    • Wim Hof has a great breathing exercise: link.
  • Working out in the gym. Commit to an intense workout. There’s more energy you can produce than you can imagine.
  • Read, draw, write, etc. Sit, and move your hands intentionally while simultaneously being an instrument for music to flow through and within you. Create or fill your world with beauty and grace.

Emotional.

This can be a challenge for someone who runs deep in emotions, especially if someone has concealed them for years. There will be much work to be done. Just like when throwing out the trash, if you allow the trash bin to pile way above its limit, it will take you time to clean that bin. But in essence, it brings your emotions and mental mind in harmony. Make them best friends 😉. Not enemies. The yin can’t live without its yang and vice versa.

  • Sing in the shower, hum, do karaoke, and sing out in the open air. Sing your lungs out, as that saying goes. But sing from the soul of your inner self: with emotion, conviction, and eternal love. Let the drums of your heart be filled with the bumps of rich blood.
  • Surround yourself with loved ones, pets, family, etc.
  • Meditate. Go within. Either set an intention on an area or specific areas you want to iron out. Any healing areas you want to heal. Set intentions with your guardian angels and scared guides to assist you to take you back to those timelines and heal those areas to make peace, let go, and move-on.

Physical.

Move your body. Let it flow freely. Let it jump freely. Let it rejoice like a little child running around going after its curiosities of the world around them without any heaviness or dirty socks! 😀

  • Go out in nature. Hike, run, and/ or feel the ground barefoot.
  • Do yoga. Connect your movement with your breathing – in sync. Move into the rhythm of the sound of your breath, the rhythm of the music, or the rhythm of your inner’s child’s wild imagination.
  • Go dance. Dance yourself into the rain of the ballroom. Be like raindrops, dropping so elegantly into the pond one sound after another.
    • Or move your body, but as long as you feel it and move with the connection of your mind and soul, that ultimately matters.

And as one of my best friends said 😉:

“He who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes are closed.”

Albert Einstein.

So, keep your eyes open – and experience fully every momentum – in tune with all your senses here on mother earth.

Final thoughts:

Like a math problem, there are more than one, two, or five ways to solve a problem.

What limits are you setting for yourself?

What truths are you carrying from others that are not your own?

The world is your Oyster – create freely, enthusiastically, and with beautiful sounds. The power is within you, love.

Everyone’s body, vibration, and unique DNA codes are different. As long as you know you are at your core – you can decide what works best for you and what speaks to you, feels good to you, brings YOU peace, and brings you HOME.

Many Blessings,
